ffxi recap

here's a recap of the past week's ffxi adventures.

L50 static - this is currently my only static now that the monday one has been terminated (may that static r.i.p.). i must say our last monday static, which was about 2 months ago, was quite sad. noob was hugging people and launching datochochin fireworks to signal the end of our 3 year journey. yes, it was 3 years. of course we didnt static together from the start...we probably should have so it wouldnt have taken us so long to get to 75.

i dont want to make this a sob story (sniff sniff) but it is kind of weird not static'ing on mondays. the monday static started off with me, zoie, saiyuuki, and noob. it's weird to think that noob originally started his ffxi career as a blm -.- gshift leveled with us in the jungles before soaring past us in levels (like everyone else). trynne later joined up and i remember japyaa filled in as our 6th a few times. i think zaria became our permanent 6th member after his static stopped due to others playing WoW. along the way we allianced with kaname a couple of times and then settled on an 8 man static with sumiko and dahoman. but i digress...

anyways, i guess i should get back to the L50 static. heh. there's nothing much to talk about since there were no deaths. :D this static is sure easy on me since sandy's nin rarely needs heals and if she does, malu is always on it before i am. i do recall being proud of how i reorganized my whm macros so that it was easier for me to know where spells were when switching between sets. but wouldnt you know it...an exoray did a paralyze tp move and im looking at my macros and i see blindna, poisona, cursna, viruna, stona...where the f*ck is paralyna? i was thinking to myself, 'it's gotta be here'! motherf*cker!!! (i think i picked this up from watching 'dog the bounty hunter'...if you watch the show, he always yells that when busting through someone's door: 'on the floor, motherf*cker!!!') so i start manually typing it out and by that time lanoire or malu casted paralyna for me. -.-

staging points - sandy, being bored out of her mind -.-, offers to help me with the staging points that im missing (ilrusi and dvucca). it's cool because toaster came along, too...here i thought i was the only person that couldnt put '6/6 runic portal' in my search comment. we all agreed that arrapago reef was creepy...so much so that it was making toaster sweat irl! o.O i hate true sight and true sound mobs...not to mention the fact that i didnt have the map to this place. anyways we got the staging points without any deaths...but i was able to aggro a couple of heraldic imps along the way! -.- thanks for your help sandy and toast!

besieged - a L7 undead besieged was happening and i figured it was a good time to get xp on my L44 blm. it sucks not having stoneskin and reraise spells available to my blm (lanoire knows about this since she's raised my sorry a** many times). so i figured i would be smart this time and just hang out in the back and do curing to get my 1k xp. so im bombing cure2's and cure3's left and right and thinking this is too damn easy! but for some reason besieged never ends and the generals start falling. pretty soon people are yelling to help out at the hall of binding. being the nosy person i am, i mosey on down to check it out and i just see all kinds of mobs flooding the area. somehow a merrow has a liking towards me (those women snakes love humes) and starts whacking me...2 hits later im dead. -.- thank god my instant rr scroll was still in effect...i raised and then hid in a corner waiting for the nightmare to end. the astral candescence was captured and i only ended up with a measly 435xp. -.- i know it's happened before but this was the first time ive ever seen us lose besieged.

Haha sensitive girl.

I started off as a taru BLM, around level 8 killed him and made a mithra BLM, level 30 went to THF, level 50 went to RNG.
